Philip qualified as a solicitor in November 1994 and worked for the insurance and public risk department in Browne Jacobson’s London office for 8 years. He joined Watmores in January 2003 and was admitted to the partnership in June 2005. Philip has extensive experience of dealing with a range of personal injury claims, mainly for clients in the public and health sectors.

He successfully defended the first UK claim arising from exposure to electro-magnetic radiation and the first instance judgement was upheld by the Court of Appeal in May 2002. More recently he defended a test case involving issues of causation, smoking and exposure to asbestos leading to lung cancer which discontinued shortly before the final hearing.
